About this episode
How you start your morning can shape everything that follows.
In this episode of LIFEcast: Living in Full Expression, Randy and Grace talk about creating a simple morning routine that helps you begin the day with less stress, more gratitude, clearer thinking, and greater peace.
And the good news? You don't need an elaborate 45-minute routine.
Sometimes it starts with something as simple as opening the blinds.
Randy and Grace share some of the habits that help them ease into the day intentionally, including:
Getting some natural sunlight first thing in the morning
Drinking water before reaching for the coffee
Stretching and gently moving your body
Avoiding emails, texts, news, and other sources of stress right away
Giving yourself quiet time instead of immediately rushing
Thinking through your day and having a simple plan
Spending time in prayer, scripture, or devotion
Practicing gratitude for another day
Setting an intention for how you want to approach the day
Starting slowly instead of trying to change everything at once
Grace also shares why she believes a peaceful morning is a conscious choice.
If you wake up already worried, rushing, checking messages, and thinking about everything that could go wrong, that stress can follow you throughout the day.
Instead, she suggests something beautifully simple:
Water. Breath. Sunshine. Prayer. Gratitude.
Randy adds another important reminder: keep it simple.
Choose one or two habits that matter to you. Make them easy enough to repeat. Then build from there.
And yes…once you've had some water, Randy and Grace agree there's still plenty of room for a good cup of coffee. ☕️
Your morning doesn't have to be perfect.
It just needs to help you begin the day with a little more peace, purpose, and intention.
☀️ What does YOUR morning routine look like?
Do you start with coffee? Prayer? Exercise? Quiet time? A walk? Something completely different?
Tell Randy and Grace in the comments. You may give someone else an idea they can add to their own morning!
